Voice Over Long-Listed For UK Independent Foreign Fiction Prize

Celine Curiol’s debut novel Voice Over was announced today as one of the long-list contenders for the UK Independent Foreign Fiction Prize. The novel, published in the UK by Faber and in the US by Seven Stories Press, is up against world-class authors from Ma Jian to A.B. Yehoshua for the prestigious award.
The six short-list finalists for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize will be announced on April 1 and the winner will be announced on May 14th. If Voice Over wins, the prize of £10,000 will be split evenly between Curiol and her translator, Sam Richard. It has not yet been reported how the limited edition magnum of Champagne Taittinger, also included in the prize, will be divided.
